Dr. Renae Ferguson-Bufford appeared on Beyond the Headlines to discuss the new “Made in The Bahamas” Certification Programme, highlighting its commitment to promoting high-quality, locally produced goods and featuring insights from Johnathon Cartwright President of BLIDC (Bahamas Industries Development Council) and Cartwight’s Bedding.

Dr. Renae Ferguson Bufford, Executive Director of BBSQ joined by national task force committee member Johnathon Cartwright, President of BLIDC (Bahamas Industries Development Council) and Cartwight’s Bedding appeared on Beyond the Headlines with Shenique Miller to discuss the bureau’s latest Made In The Bahamas Certification Programme.

Dr. Bufford shared her vision for the programme, emphasizing its potential to strengthen the Bahamian economy by giving certified products a competitive edge both locally and internationally. She also discussed the rigorous standards each product must meet to earn certification, ensuring a mark of quality that Bahamians can trust.

Mr. Cartwright expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative. He highlighted the benefits of certification for Bahamian businesses and underscored the increased consumer trust it brings to locally produced products.
