FDBNS OGC 18-088 (V1.1): 2021 OGC SensorThings API Part 1 Sensing Version 1.1

The Bahamas Bureau of Standards and Quality (BBSQ) is in the enquiry phase of developing the following standards that have been prepared by the Technical Committee comprising of technical experts from a wide cross section of stakeholders. The standard being issued for public comment, in accordance with the provisions set out in the Standards Act, Chapter 338 (2006), and in keeping with the international best practices and standards development procedures. Please note that these standards should not be reprinted or used for any other purpose other than review and public comments. This is due to the documents being copyrighted by ISO and being the sole property of the Bahamas Government.

The OGC SensorThings API provides an open, geospatial-enabled and unified way to interconnect the Internet of Things (IoT) devices, data, and applications over the web. At a high level the OGC SensorThings API provides two main functionalities and each function is handled by a part. The two parts are the Sensing part and the Tasking part. The Sensing part provides a standard way to manage and retrieve observations and metadata from heterogeneous IoT sensor systems. This document is version 1.1 and it is extending the first version of Sensing part.
