From October 29th to 31st, the Bahamas Bureau of Standards and Quality (BBSQ) held a specialized ISO/IEC 17025 training to advance its procedural writing skills and bolster readiness for future accreditation.

The training was facilitated by Trinidad and Tobago native, Mr. Devindra Chattergoon, OCA Global Quality Management Systems Consultant. It was attended by BBSQ’s Senior Metrologist and Head of Department, Brendon Johnson, Metrology Inspectors Brinel Jacques and Nekco Kelly, Human Resources Manager Janet Lightbourne with Executive Director Dr. Ferguson-Bufford providing welcoming and closing remarks.

This intensive workshop focused on enhancing BBSQ’s documentation processes, ensuring alignment with ISO/IEC 17025 standards that set global requirements for competence, impartiality, and consistency in laboratory operations.
